As we no longer have our dedicated server to run both games and Teamspeak, we are now using Ventrillo only.

For those who have not used it before then there is a set up help here http://www.ventrilo.com/setup.php where the client file can also be downloaded.
I've set up squad rooms, for those that want passwords and chanell administration rights please let me know.

Why in the world Ventrillo ?
It is not meet, not fish, has no client for Linux (since ages in development ) and with Mumble or TS3 available why is there a need for something like Ventrillo ?
Even AA works nicely under Linux because I play except league events always on Linux, but Ventrillo doesn't, which is quit a good impression.
It's about the money get Mumble which is half the cost from TS3, but Ventrillo ? No serious, using that exclusively is a down IMHO.

I have used Roger Wilco over 2 years without problem. So whats the point than.

32 KHz 16 Bit on Speex codec ?
You guys know there is something available for half the money, gives you a sample rate from 32 kHz to 96 kHz and bit-rates from 32 kbps to 128 kbps without using significant more bandwidth ? Thats called CELT codec
Now guess how Ventrillo sounds compared with that.
Building updates of a codec into a program is called progress which some programs have and some not.

Doesn't matter, Game we play is old too....

Btw.
Build into the CLP the thing to show users in Ventrillo.
If the text above doesn't make you happy, maybe the viewer does

For the Geeks here I have also something which is called Mangler and should make Ventrillo available for Linux :)
