Well,Hello there.I'll go straight to business.
I was in 1st position ( I was actually able to win the race before the "incident" ) when a fast guy came behind me. I did my best trying to avoid being overtaken, All legally as far as i know,Braking a bit latter than usual also trying to keep in the correct line.etc etc. He tried to overtake me once or twice with no luck, The next time he tried to overtake me,accidentally or not,he rammed my rear making me loose control,which i just managed to keep on the road and continue,he didn't manage to stay on track so he lost control and span.After that he calls for a vote on a Ban. I was confused,so he rams me and then calls for a ban on ME?!?! I guess he wasnt very happy he couldnt overtake me legally. . .
Anyways,he calls for the ban about 2 times with no luck.Sad to see people voting yes when i had played legally with most of them for about an hour.Even people who had just joined the server that didn't know what happened was voting yes.So then on the 3rd time he calls for the ban,he sadly manages to complete it.
I guess there is not much you guys can do about it.It's just sad to try and play legally and then getting banned.

Well, this is a classic trouble, I'm sorry it happened again. Especially the FBM server attracts very fast drivers. I'm not sure where the people get the notion that slower cars must always make way. Very often I see these fast people cannot in fact race at all, they can only hotlap and that's all. If anyone is slowing them down, they do very dangerous manouvers, often resulting in crash. And quite often they call the slower car a crasher and try to ban him. Nonsense.

Indeed there's not much we can do about it, because turning off voting possibility really isn't an option. Note however that the fast people are in no way protected. When they're seen crashing and driving recklessly, they are banned just like everyone else would be. Of course a replay always helps to see what happened and who was it. So, next time please append a replay link and we may ban the bad driver.

sometimes just letting pass faster drivers can avoid crashes, i do it all the time, and i like ppl do the same when i get closer.
sooner or later someone will crash.

Indeed that is an option. But just an option. The racing rules say nothing about being obliged to let faster people go without fight (of course unless you have blue flag, when you must make way safely). You may let go or choose a defensive path, but you may not block intentionally. The faster car must wait for reasonable overtaking opportunity and not force its way through, which is simply crashing and deserves kick or ban.

the main reason i let faster drivers pass is because i dont like to stall them, and makes races even funnier

thanks for the quick responses,and yeah i do that sometimes,let the faster car pass,specially when you like 3rd/4th and you can see that the guy behind you could actually win the race,so yeah, i would sometimes let him pass and tell him something like "go go go"
But on the case we discussing,i was 2nd catching the guy infront of me who actually made a mistake and i was then 1st with only 2 laps to go, a bit harsh to let someone pass in that situation don't you think?
And yeah,pitty i don't have a replay,I've got the replay of the previous race which I managed to win,Guess i could upload it and show that im a safe driver.Also,on that replay that player who called the ban had just joined.So i have his name and ID.

i'm often 1st place and i let pass last lap, but thats just me , i hate crashing or getting crashed, i avoid crashes as much as i can. a lot can happen in 2 laps, u could've let him pass and he could've make a mistake, but we will never know. do u know his safety rate? sometimes faster drivers arent so fair

That's just a classical incident what happened quite often in the last times on the FBM server, just like EQ said sometimes incidents like this happens when it's prime time and the Formula FBM server gets full and fast people are joining, a quite of them just can drive hotlaps and are able to drive only 2-3 laps fast and getting annoyed when they get stuck behind a slower driver and desperately trying to overtake. Sometimes it works but most of the time it ends in a crash and usually they blame the slower driver for that crash, because somehow they have the opinion 'I'm faster, move away!'...

It's really an enigma for me that those drivers think they have the priority in a race and slower drivers have to make way, maybe it's the result that the Formula FBM server getting somehow pro status at these days and slower driver aren't welcome anymore... but they forget one thing they started like this not so long ago, too. That's my observation how things develop on the server.

But hang on and don't make the life easier for them, soon or later they will realize that there is not such a thing in the racing buisness that a slower car have to make way in a fight for position.
